Fly Fishing Ontario
Started in 1992 by long time Member Jim Purcell, the Fly Tying Group has become a great venue for beginners and proficient tyers alike to learn and expand on their knowledge of the art of Fly Tying. The Group enjoys a weekly social evening at the Club with other members interested in tying flies, and often meet for dinner prior to the Classes. Guest tyers are invited regularly.
Since 2005 Franklin Club Members, Rodney Daw and Gary Baldackin, have assumed the reigns of the Fly Tying Group. The sessions alternate every other week between the Beginner’s Classes and Advance Classes. A small nominal fee is charged to offset the cost of materials and equipment.
